China Spring Cars Food Drive

McLennan County Pack of Hope exists to erase child hunger in McLennan County by supplying participating school districts and their eligible students with backpacks filled with nutritious food to prevent hunger Friday through Sundaywhile they are not in school. China Spring ISD currently has students who participate in this program. Our goal again this summer is to take the Pack of Hope program further for China Spring... and that's where China Spring Cares comes in.
Starting the month of April, we are going to have a food drive to collect food to supply our students throughout the summer. We know we probably won’t be able to supply enough food for an entire week for all 11 weeks school is out, but we are sure going to try.
For the month of April, campus principals will choose several non-refrigerated items and those items will be what each campus collects for that month. For the month of April, China Spring Middle School will be collecting fruit cups (4 oz. single serve) and cold cereal (individual packages 5/8 oz. - 1 oz. bowl size). Items may be dropped off at the Middle School Office. Thank you in advance for your help with China Spring Cares! Together we can help prevent hunger in our community.
