After graduating from Baylor University in 2002, Mrs. Bartee earned her Master of Education from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, in 2005. She spent seven years as a high school English teacher while earning her school counselor and principal certifications.
Mrs. Bartee worked as a teacher at Hawley High School before joining the staff of Hutto ISD as the school counselor for Hutto Middle School. In 2016, she became one of the school counselors for China Spring ISD at the elementary level. She served as the China Spring Middle School counselor for two years and is now the assistant principal.
Mrs. Bartee is married with three children who all attend China Spring ISD: Keaghlan “Keke,” Konner, and Kori. Her husband, Kristopher, now runs the Waco clinic of Aspire Allergy and Sinus.
Mr. Ellis is beginning his 18th year in public education and 9th year in CSISD. The 2022-2023 school year is his first as principal of the middle school. Before becoming a principal, he served 4 years in assistant principal roles at both the middle school (2021-2022) and high school (2018-2021). Before becoming an administrator, he taught English and was the head basketball coach in the district. Prior to moving to Texas, he served in the Peoria Unified School District in Arizona from 2005-2014 where he taught English and coached several sports at Ironwood High School.
Mr. Ellis grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Arizona Christian University where he received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He graduated from Lamar University in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Ellis is married to Ashley Ellis and they have 3 children who attend CSISD schools. In his spare time he loves to play golf and be with his family at home or at the beach.
