Newsletter for August 11-15, 2025
From Dr. Dominguez
The China Spring Bass Fishing Club will have an informational meeting on August 18th from 6:00-7:00 pm in the CS High School cafeteria. Our school fishes the Central Texas High School Tournament Trail with about 5-8 tournaments throughout the year. During the season, angler teams will fish Lake Limestone, Lake Whitney, Lake Belton, Lake Waco, and Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir. Teams consist of 3 people, 2 student anglers and 1 adult boat captain, and must be middle or high school students. Student anglers are responsible for finding their partner and a boat/boat captain. Each angler team is responsible for their equipment, fishing jerseys, transportation to and from the tournaments, as well as access to a boat and a boat captain. For more information, please contact Heather Keahey at (254) 495-7484 or hkeahey@chinaspringisd.net.

If your child has any counseling needs that need to be addressed, I am always available to help! I have an open door policy and if I am not in my office, your child may fill out a “Let’s Talk Slip” found at my door, and when I am available, I will reach out to him or her. I also will check my email periodically throughout the day.
FYI- Middle School has a new Social Worker on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Her name is Mrs. Patterson, and we are so delighted to have her.
