CELL PHONES, AIRPODS, & SMART WATCHES ARE PROHIBITED at CSMS in accordance with House Bill 1481. Non-school-issued technology must be turned off and stored out of sight. Should a student need to communicate with a parent/guardian via their personal cell phone, he or she should ask for permission to go to the office to call or text his/her parent. If a personal electronic device is confiscated, the student’s parent/guardian will be responsible for picking up the device from the front office, as devices will not be returned directly to the student.
Effective Monday, August 25, CSMS will be implementing the following consequences related to confiscation of cell phones, airpods, smart watches, and non-school-issued technology:
1st offense- conference
2nd offense- 1 day of after-school detention
3rd offense- 2 days of after-school detention
4th offense- in-school suspension (ISS)
Chronic offenses may result in further disciplinary action, such as extended ISS, loss of privileges, or administrative intervention
