Upcoming Events:

  • Staff development/student holiday- September 19

  • Join Dr. Soo Battle on September 15 at 6pm in the PAC for an age-appropriate presentation on preventing and reducing child sexual abuse, hosted by China Spring Social Services.

  • Band Pictures for the yearbook will be on September 17. Students will need to wear their black shirts, black pants, black socks, and black shoes for pictures. Pictures are optional for purchase. A QR code will be sent to be completed by parents prior to pictures being taken for organizational purposes. 

  • Students Standing Strong- First meeting will be on Sept. 23 from 4:00-5:00 pm


VATRE Information Meetings

China Spring ISD is hosting a series of Information Meetings about the upcoming Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). Superintendent Dr. Marc Faulkner will review how school funding works, the impact of the VATRE on the school tax rate, and the ballot language voters will see in November.

  • On game days, if parents are bringing food for players, cheerleaders, or band members, please make sure students are aware before the school days begins. This helps minimize interruptions to instruction and helps the front office run smoothly. 

  • To help ensure student safety and keep traffic flowing smoothly, all high school students need to be picked up at the high school campus during dismissal. Your cooperation helps us keep both campuses running safely and efficiently.

  • iPads need to be charged at night and chargers should remain at home.  

  • Doors to the middle school open at 7:00 am. 

  • NO THIRD PARTY DELIVERIES ACCEPTED ON CAMPUS, ie, DoorDash, Uber Eats.

  • For the safety and cleanliness of our school, opened food items may not leave the cafeteria. In addition, only refillable water bottles with secure lids are allowed in classrooms and hallways. Cups with lids or straws from restaurants (such as Sonic, Starbucks, etc.) are not permitted in our classrooms. Thank you for supporting us in keeping our learning spaces safe and focused!

  • CELL PHONES, AIRPODS, & SMART WATCHES ARE PROHIBITED at CSMS in accordance with House Bill 1481. Non-school-issued technology must be turned off and stored out of sight. Effective Monday, August 25, CSMS will be implementing the following consequences related to confiscation of cell phones, airpods, smart watches, and non-school-issued technology: 

    • 1st offense- conference 

    • 2nd offense- 1 day of after-school detention

    • 3rd offense- 2 days of after-school detention 

    • 4th offense- in-school suspension (ISS)

    • Chronic offenses may result in further disciplinary action, such as extended ISS, loss of privileges, or administrative intervention 

  • Tardies

    • A student who is tardy to class by more than 3 times per grading period may be assigned to after-school detention or given another appropriate consequence.

    • Students arriving late to any class will be marked as tardy.

  • After School Detention

    • Detention will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week 4-5 pm, and parents are responsible for transportation.

  • Schedule change requests have been concluded, and there will be NO second semester changes.

  • If your child has any counseling needs that need to be addressed, I am always available to help!  

  • Middle School has a new Social Worker, Mrs. Patterson, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are interested in a lunch bunch group on those days for your child, please send requests to apatterson@chinaspringisd.net.  

  • Counseling Theme for SEPTEMBER IS Suicide Prevention Awareness Month! 

  • During lunches this week, the social work and counseling team will be providing resources and each student will be able to write a message of hope and have them displayed in the counseling area of the academic hallway.

●   Prescription medication requires a physician and parent signature.  Over the counter medications given per the bottle directions need a parent signature otherwise they will need a physician and parent signature.
