Fall Dance

The CSMS Fall Dance takes place on Thursday, November 13th from 6-8 PM in the CSMS Gym! “A Night in Hollywood” is our theme!

Student tickets: cost $10 sold at the front office before and after school as well as during lunch

Students must meet all CSMS Attendance, grade, and behavior standards in order to attend the dance. Students not meeting all standards will not be able to attend the dance. This is not negotiable. Thank you!

  • Any student below 90% attendance for the year who has not worked to make up time in after school detention may NOT attend the dance.

  • Any student with a DAEP placement or 3 or more days in ISS (in-school suspension) or OSS (Out of School Suspension) may NOT attend the dance.

  • Any student who had a failing grade for the 1st 9-week grading period may NOT attend the dance.

Dance Dress Code Guidelines

We want everyone to have a fun, safe, and respectful time at the dance! Please make sure your outfit helps you feel confident and meets the school’s expectations.

General Expectations

  • Outfits should be school-appropriate. If you wouldn’t wear it to a school event or assembly, it’s probably not a good choice for the dance.

  • All clothing should cover undergarments and private areas at all times (even when dancing or moving). A lot of girls find wearing Spanx to be beneficial when dancing.

  • Avoid clothing with references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, profanity, or inappropriate symbols.

  • Sheer or see-through fabrics must have a solid lining underneath. Midriffs and cleavage should be covered at all times.

  • Pants must be worn at the waist and not sag below the hips.

  • Hats, hoods, and sunglasses should not be worn inside the building.

  • Chains, spikes, or other items that could be unsafe are not permitted.

  • Collared shirts, polos, or nice dress shirts are encouraged.

  • No facial hair.

Final Reminders

  • If you’re unsure about your outfit, check with Drs. Dominguez or Davidson before the dance; they’re happy to help!

  • Students who arrive dressed inappropriately may be asked to change or may not be allowed to enter until the issue is resolved.

  • Most importantly, come ready to have fun, show respect, and make great memories!
