Highlights for the Week
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Marilyn Oliver as our new campus secretary. Mrs. Oliver will be supporting our front office operations and is often the first point of contact for families and visitors. She can be reached at moliver@chinaspringisd.net.
We are also pleased to welcome Ms. Shelby Davis as our new campus registrar. Ms. Davis will be supporting student enrollment, records, and transitions, and will be a key resource for families navigating these processes. She can be reached at srobertdavis@chinaspringisd.net.
Wednesday, February 11: Grade 7 & 8 RLA Benchmark. Please make sure iPads are charged the night before.
Attention incoming 7th and 8th graders interested in tryout out for China Spring Middle School Cheer! In order to be eligible for tryout you must read and sign the 2026-27 Cheerleading Tryout Packet. Packets are available in the front offices of both the middle school and intermediate school. The signed packet must be turned in no later than Tuesday, February 24th by 4pm. No late packets will be accepted. For any further questions, please reach out to the middle school cheer sponsor, Ms. Smith at ksmith@chinaspringisd.net.

NJHS Induction ceremony has been rescheduled to Monday, February 16th at 6-7pm. Reception to follow!
Kona Ice during lunches: March 5, April 2, and May 7
March 27th is one of our designated parent teacher conference days. If you are interested in a parent teacher conference, please email your students' teacher to get it setup on that day. If at any time you have questions about your student’s performance please email the teacher and they are happy to collaborate with you.
Due to inclement weather, China Spring ISD will use the bad weather days already built into the school calendar to make up missed instructional time. Students must charge iPads at home. Chargers should remain at home.
Please make sure students are aware if they are getting food delivered on game days. This helps minimize interruptions to instruction and helps the front office run smoothly.

Tardies can be viewed under the Attendance tab in Ascender
A student who is tardy to class by more than 3 times per grading period may be assigned to before school detention or given another appropriate consequence.
Students arriving late to class will be marked as tardy.
Tardies count for every class, every period.
After School Detention will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week 4-5 pm, and parents are responsible for transportation.

Prescription medication requires a physician and parent signature. Over the counter medications given per the bottle directions need a parent signature otherwise they will need a physician and parent signature.

What do I need to do if my student needs to miss school?
STEP 1: Call the school @ 254-836-4611
STEP 2: Email Ms. Davis, the Attendance Clerk with a parent/doctor note.
YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO TURN IN A NOTE FOR THE ABSENCE TO BE EXCUSED.
DUES: Class Dues are $20. We accept CASH, CHECK made out to CSMS or you may pay online through Myschoolbucks.com.
